10 New Year Resolutions for the New Year

  1. Learning a new language - The more you learn about other cultures, it’s easier for those to learn about yours. It’s never too late to learn. 

  2. Excite your social life - If you’re an introvert like me or tend to not lean towards social circles, maybe you should start! You never know.

  3. Allow yourself to rest and relax - Sometimes the stress isn’t worth it, and it’s best to rest even for a few hours.

  4. Let go of toxic people - Those people who pray on your downfall will only cause you to fall, so get rid of them now to avoid conflict later. 

  5. Aim for a consistent workout schedule - Even 2 days a week is good, have consistency in your schedule, and don’t settle for less.

  6. Cook more, order less - Ordering is such a bad habit of mine, I swear. But cooking is not only healthier but allows you to open your palate to more things. 

  7. Write in your journal - It’s useful for when you’re upset or optimistic.

  8. Set boundaries in relationships - It’s easier to be safe and sorry, even if it means protecting your peace.

  9. Focus on the present, not the past or future - We can’t dwell on the past and we can’t hyperfocus on the future, just live for right now. 

  10. Make a morning/evening routine - Routines help so you don’t go off course and find yourself in a stuck hole.
