Birthday Gift Guide

In honor of my seventeenth birthday on August 31st this year, I am making a birthday gift guide for those who haven’t celebrated their birthdays yet or would like some ideas for the future.

As you get older, we don’t tend to celebrate our birthdays as hard, especially when you’re a teenager, an adult, or, sure, if you’re 21. But birthdays should always be fun, regardless of age.

It’s super fun when people ask you what you may want for your birthday, and you're just excited about the outcome of your gift.

In this blog, I set up a couple of gift ideas for everyone to browse over in case the birthday of a friend, relative, or yours is coming up and you want to be prepared.

Handbags/Purses:

If you’re due for a new bag or you’ve been eyeing this one handbag for a while but have been too busy to find time to grab it, a purse is a great gift to ask for for your birthday!

It holds everything you need on a daily basis and helps tie your outfit together.

Perfume:

I feel like no one buys anyone perfume or fragrance mist anymore, but it’s such a good gift.

Sometimes it could feel like you’re wasting your money on a tiny bottle that will be used up in a minimum of a month, but perfume lasts longer than we think.

I had this Ariana Grande "Sweet Like Candy" perfume in the winter of 2021–summer of 2023. It’s lasted me so long, even when I used it religiously!

Perfume is a great investment to have and could help you figure out your signature scent!

Makeup:

I’m going to warn you right now: I’m not the best with makeup talk.

For the past couple of years, I’ve always wanted to get into makeup, but my skin is sensitive (unfortunately).

Usually, from my knowledge, makeup lasts a while, especially if you do not tend to use it often.

If you only wear makeup on special occasions, or maybe you aren’t that experienced, receiving makeup as a birthday gift never hurts anyone.

It’s a great gift to give and receive if you love it or have had the idea of trying it out!

Skincare:

I’m a skincare fanatic, okay? I love having clean and hydrated skin, and I know you girls love it too!

Skincare is a good gift if you like that type of stuff. You might be wondering, What products could you ask for?

Let’s see. Ask for stuff that will last a good while before buying another because you don’t want someone to waste their money on a little product for a big price unless it’s worth it.

Even something as simple as eye or face masks makes a great skincare gift.

Books:

For all the girls who read, listen up. Ask for books. Now, don’t tell anyone what book you want unless it’s a friend your age.

For older people, tell them you want books for your birthday (if they ask), and they will most likely just send you money to get them. Easy peasy.

Books make a good present if you are all about books. You are a book girl, and you love books. So, why not get free ones for just one-upping the age?

Here are a couple of birthday gift ideas that you can use to ask for or give someone for theirs!
