Discipline: How to Achieve It?

This year is all about working towards a goal we want. In this case, for me, it’s school. As I’m heading off to college in the next few months, I’m taking community college courses to get a feel of the courses I would take in a university.

Write out Specific Goals:

Goals can be broad or they can be specific. To learn a certain level of discipline beforehand, you must create a goal that is tied to what it is you are working for. It’s best to use a long-term goal, and then shorten it until it is achievable.

Hold Yourself Accountable:

Not many do this because sometimes burnout feels great. It feels good to not do anything but lay there and wonder how far you’d be if you’d get up. If you know your current position or condition isn’t holding up so tight, you should check yourself, and say, “Yeah, I think it’s time to get my life together.

A Solid Timeframe and Rest, if Needed:

Don’t force yourself into a project or coursework that’ll have you buried deep in burnout in a few weeks if you don’t have a healthy lifestyle. Give yourself a set deadline for everything you want and need to complete. Complete some now, then rest, then pick up when done.
