Fall Book Recommendations

It’s that type of season. Fall, to be exact. The second most wonderful time of the year because, obviously, Christmastime is the first. So, with that being said, it’s time to get the read on, especially for those who love to read like me.

Even so, you make a BookTok account dedicated to them.

Here’s a tiny list of books to read during the Rory Gilmore season.

Alone With You in the Ether:

It’s about two people: Charlotte Regan, a woman with bipolar disorder and an unorganized life living as an artist. Aldo Damiani is a professor at a university who loves quantum physics and bees.

A messy and vulnerable love story between the two characters. As the story progresses, the two open up about their history, allowing one another to see a part of them they hide from the world.

Shatter Me Series:

This six-book series follows a young girl who goes by the name Juliette Ferrars. As a child, she had powers that could kill you if you touched her. It’s filled with angst, sadness, and dystopian features.

Aaron Warner, the son of the commander, has complete control of Juliette. As the story progresses, so does the story of Aaron, Juliette, and two important side characters, Kenji and Nazeera.

The House Across the Lake:

Since it’s October and the scary festivities always take place during this season and month, this is a great psychological thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. Some readers are able to predict better than others, but it makes up for a good storyline.

It’s about a woman named Casey, who is a rather new widow as her husband passed away recently at their lake house. She becomes an alcoholic, and when two of her new neighbors, Tom and Katherine Royce, move in, she can’t help but suspect the worst.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo:

Might I say that this was one of my favorite reads this year? People weren’t lying about Evelyn’s story being amazing. I’m pretty sure it earned a well-earned 4 or 5 stars from me on Goodreads.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo centers around a Hollywood legend who goes by Evelyn Hugo. She chooses an unknown reporter for the public, Monique Grant, to tell her story from start to finish.
