What is stress & how does it impact everyday life?

Stress is a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation. It can impact everyday life by putting you at a higher risk of physical and mental health problems later on. You can become depressed, highly anxious, have heightened blood pressure, and even have a hard time with concentration.


Slow Down:

Slow down! You don’t have to have your mind up and running about everything you need to accomplish. Instead, calm down and see what really matters most. What do you need to get done? What is most important right now?


Deep Breathing:

Deep breathing techniques are very common when it comes to stress. There are many techniques inside deep breathing that you can use in certain situations. Whenever you find yourself almost ripping your hair out, take a deep breath and close your eyes.

Relax:

Everyone needs a relaxing day, you included. Stress is very, very annoying, and sometimes we want to lie down and not have to deal with anything. Try to make a day where you can just relax; even one day out of the week is fine.
