How to Study Smarter, Not Harder

What does that mean?

Studying smarter, not harder, means not having to work yourself over in order to make tremendous achievements. This could go for anything, but this post is about studying smarter in school to avoid mental burnout.

Many people online love to post their achievements, but how do they go about them without sharing that they tired themselves out, that sleep debt, and a lack of acknowledgment of life?

Take breaks:

Please take breaks. I cannot stress this enough. Taking breaks is essential to getting your mind back in motion. Taking breaks is not an optional thing; they are recommended and enhance your work ethic by more than 50%.

Make a routine:

A routine in order to study for work should be a thing for everyone. If you are everywhere, how do you expect anything to be organized around you? Set up what times on your schedule you work best so that studying and working won’t feel so tiring.

Get enough rest:

It is recommended that you get some rest. Sorry to break it to you, but everyone needs sleep, including you. If you can’t rest your pretty head every night in preparation for the next school day, you won’t have a huge enhancement. The assignment is not going anywhere, beautiful.

Take time for yourself:

Finding a hobby or extracurricular that interests you can be a way to take time for yourself. School is everything but nothing at the same time. Regardless of your 4.0 GPA, perfect attendance, or many clubs, you will find yourself gifted the same thing everyone else gets at graduation. It’s okay to take some time to catch up on that show you’ve wanted to watch or learn that language you’ve been meaning to do for a while now.

School is only so long, and while these achievements are amazing to get, you are a soul living inside of your human; please take care of them.
