What is Skin Cycling?

If you're on the skincare side of Tiktok, then I'm sure you've seen 'skin cycling' at least once. I bet you're wondering what is it too. Well, that's why I'm here to break it down for the girls who don't understand or know. Benefits of skin cycling: - It's safe for beginners in skincare - Helps protect the skin barrier To get familiar with what skin cycling actually is... Let's set up with the routine first! 1st Night: Exfoliation - Cleanser - Exfoliate - Serum - Moisturiser

  • Use a chemical exfoliant because physical exfoliants can damage the skin barrier and cause irritation.

  • Don't use exfoliants often, once a week is perfectly fine.

2nd Night: Retinol - Cleanser - Serum - Retinoid - Moisturiser

  • Retinoids can be super irritating at first for those whose skin isn't used to strong acne treatments

3rd & 4th Night: Recovery Nights - Cleanser - Serum - Moisturiser

  • Since the first two days were very strong for the skin alone, its best to allow your skin to recover.

  • If you feel the need to moisturise more than two nights, maybe three nights if you have dry skin, is perfectly okay.

Remember that skin cycling is not a process you can just jump into without knowledge, but you will succeed the process of clean and clear skin if you follow correctly.
