What's a Wash-N-Go?

For all the girls and guys with waves, curls, or kinks, a wash-and-go is the safest option, especially if you are easily influenced by heat styling. It’s tempting, I know.

So, what exactly is a wash-and-go? It’s self-explanatory. You wash your hair and then style it without using heat. Easier said than done; I did my first one today and it ended up terrible, so if you feel bad about your first one, then it’s okay.

Start Clean:

We want to start with a clean slate. Wash your hair with a clarifying or moisturizing shampoo (ensure it’s sulfate-free), then go in with a conditioner.

LCO/LOC method:

The LCO method requires you to spray or place a leave-in conditioner in the hair, then a moisturizing cream and oil to seal the hair. If you have a looser curl, like 2A-2C, then you can get away with the LOC method. It’s applying a leave-in conditioner, oil, and a cream.

Drying the hair:

This is a little contradictory to use here, but you can use a heat-styling tool. Forget what I said earlier. You can air-dry or use a hair diffuser.
